Parking

Ontela recommends the nearby Butler Garage at 114 James St. Please bring your parking stub with you to the interview, and we will make sure that you have the proper validation.  There are scores of other parking lots around the area.  If the Butler Garage is full, we suggest parking in the “Sinking Ship Lot” across the street.

Hint: there are three levels; if the top one is full, try parking a little lower. The “Sinking Ship Lot” does accept all major credit cards.  Don’t forget to put the slip the machine gives you on your dashboard.

Killing Time

Arrive early?  No worries, you’re downtown!  You can come to the office; we’re happy to set you up in a conference room to hang out for a bit.  In fact, we have a room for the purpose that has a PC and a demo phone with our software installed so you can play around with it while you wait (or just check your email).  If you’re more adventurous and/or really early, you should check out some of the amazing haunts nearby.  We have dozens that we love, but here are a few of our favorites:

  • Starbucks
Not much to say: it’s in the lobby of our building, it’s predictable, it’s caffeinated.  Get your double shot of whatever.

  • All City Coffee
Better coffee and cool wooden tables, this is our favorite place for offsite strategy powwows.

  • Salumi
If it’s around lunch time and you’re not particularly vegetarian, this is a must-try.  According to Chef Anthony Bordain, the best restaurant in Seattle.  Just a few blocks from our front door, you’ll find us here whenever we are feeling meat-deficient.

  • Patissimo’s
The owner, Luigi, is a friend of Ontela’s and he makes a mean pasta.

  • Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
Swing by here on your way out and pick up some chocolates or one of their megasauroid “caramel” apples.  Your family will thank you; your dentist will not.
