ABOUT ONTELA              

Ontela builds software that makes it ridiculously easy to get your pictures off of your camera phone.  We’re fast-paced, product-focused, and team-based.  Our offices are in Pioneer Square, in the historic Smith Tower, and surrounded by fantastic coffee shops, gelaterias, and restaurants.   We offer competitive compensation (salary, equity, and great benefits), and we’re small enough that your role will be critical in the success in our company.

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS

  • Fearlessly network at all levels, unlocking amazing candidates from their chains of employment misery and bringing them to the Ontela promised land

  • Anything and everything necessary to create an extremely high quality candidate pipeline, including but not limited to creative cold calling, internet postings, community events, and more

  • Fostering long-term relationships with candidate prospects

  • Develop a campus recruiting program

  • Manage the process by which we source and screen candidates, from “Nice to meet you” to “Meet our newest employee”

  • Recruit for a wide variety of roles including project management, development, test, college interns, graphic design, sales, and whatever else our company needs

  • Do a tremendous job of reaching out to diverse candidates of all backgrounds

  • Hire and mentor other recruiters as our company grows

  • Conduct trainings with our interviewers to ensure that they do a great job of finding the candidates who are the very best for Ontela

  • Oversee the actual interview process so it proceeds effectively and smoothly

  • Manage the recruiting budget and report on results

  • Propose and implement ongoing improvements to Ontela's recruitment efforts

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • College degree preferred

  • 5 years recruiting experience, preferably in both corporate and agency environments

  • Proven track record of successful recruiting technical talent

  • Expertise in multiple styles of interviewing

  • Proven organizational skills with superb attention to detail

  • The ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with urgent and competing demands

  • High energy, highly motivated and self-directed

  • Great team interaction skills, including the ability to work with hiring managers who are highly technical, highly passionate, or both

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Collaborative and consensus-building style with a focus on making teams better

  • Experience with recruiting information/applicant tracking systems a plus

As a young startup, we do work long hours, not just nine-to-five.  A small amount of travel (10% of your time) may be required to accomplish the above.
